Gronow family bible belonging to the family of Thomas Gronow (1866-1945) & Mary Edwards (1866-1923) the bible has entries from the Gronow, Edwards & Williams families.

 

 Recent acquisition, some letters addressed to Nurse Gronow to Nurses Home East Ham, London.

LEAH GRONOW 1864-1889

Leah Gronow a Welsh Folk Art Sampler dated 1872. Leah stitched her sampler at the age of 8 using wool threads as was the welsh custom. Leah the daughter of Daniel Gronow & Ann Lewis was born on the 8th November 1864 and baptised on the 25th December at St. Mary, Glyntaff. Leah died aged 24, in 1889 & is buried in Glyntaff Cemetery.
